Nancy Kline


Nancy Kline grew up in Greenwich Village (New York City). Her essays, short stories, memoirs and reviews have appeared widely in the USA. She has published more than ten books, which include fiction, literary criticism, biography, and translations of René Char, Paul Eluard, Lorand Gaspar, Claudine Herrmann, and Jules Supervielle. She reviews for the NY Times and has taught at Harvard, UCLA, and Barnard College of Columbia University, where she founded The Writing Program. She is currently on the faculty of the Bard Prison Initiative.
